Holding Onto Faith When All Seems Lost

Reading1I keep learning about all of these things that are taking place (and have been taking place) — on top of all of the other issues in our society and in this world. I don’t get too deep into what’s going on because it is a waste of precious time that I could be using  for positive thoughts and actions, to better myself, and to enjoy and better my life. But it is good to be knowledgeable of it all as a reminder of what has yet to come. With that said, this post is not about all of the sad things that are occurring in our nation and all over the world — it is, very simply, about uplifting yourself and those you can touch.

Just a few weeks ago I was going on and on about how I am not sure how much man kind has really progressed, and the non-progression is even clearer to see when you take technology out of everything. Technology doesn’t represent us, we represent us, and we need to progress more in mind and spirit than in money, power, technology, etc., because when the end of times has ended your body, your mind, your spirit, your progressed you is all you are going to have.

No one is perfect, and none of us will ever be perfect. But all of us can be better than the person we were yesterday and all of us can do much better than what is being done around us. And once more, none of us will ever be perfect.. so stop judging others and start focusing on you. Be consistent in your personal and spiritual progression and in your prayers and love for Jesus. Just because the people in our nation forget about God until something bad happens (if even that), doesn’t mean that you have to do the same. Be an example of what the glory of God can do. And teach our children to do the same.

I am not here telling you what to do because I think I’m perfect either, because I am not and I am also reminding myself everyday to do better, trust in God, and focus on what is important. I have gone through some very dark times in my own life, have been diagnosed with what a psychiatrist thought my resulting forever issue was, and had great difficulty in fighting it all all the way up to the point when I met my husband. He is such a God loving man; I have learned a great deal from him (and still learn so much from him), and I thank him for helping me through everything and instilling so much hope and faith in me through trusting in God and his plan. We both have had big battles to overcome in our lives, and a large part of why our relationship has been so strong is because of our sort of trade off in strengths.

Our individual lives can always turn around. You can put on a mask, you can act like you don’t deserve more, you can remain lost or continue going down the road that you don’t want to be on, and the simple cure will always be God. God puts his peace in our hearts when we put our problems in his hands. Recognize your faults and chisel away at them everyday. Recognize your purpose, what you love to do and why you are here, and spend the rest of your days fulfilling that purpose. Recognize the people who add to your personal and spiritual progression and do the same for them.

Everything happens for a reason, just as everything that is happening in our world today is in the Bible. Whole nations have lost sight of God and will face even uglier days. But even though all may seem lost in the world, all is never lost for us. Just because there are so many ugly things going on in this world, and even in moments of our lives, doesn’t mean that our lives cannot be beautiful from here on out.  Take advantage of the new opportunities for change in each and every day. Make prayer a daily habit, get into reading the Bible or inspirational/Christian literature for extra growth and reminder. Stay consistent. Every opportunity is the best opportunity to change your perspective on life. Don’t waste anymore time on things that will not matter when it is all said and done. There is always so much more in store for those who continue to have faith, no matter what goes on in this world. Keep believing and keep bettering yourself everyday. If the path you’re on is unpleasant, unsatisfying, and full of unhappiness then your calling is higher. God works in mysterious ways and he has a plan so wake up with a prayer and a heart filled with faith, positive outlooks and all that is truly important to you in mind, and take it from there. ❤
