WELCOME OCTOBER and Cute, Fun, Inexpensive DIY Fall Décor!

FallDecor1Fall is my absolute favorite season!!! I have been trying to wear sweaters for a few weeks now but I always have to change because I get way too close to my melting point. I just adore sweaters, boots, the perfect weather, the changing of the leaves… I’m not yet sure if I’m super fond of pumpkin spice flavored things, but I do love my pumpkin caramel apple candle AND MY MUMS!

I can see this beautiful time of the year being a favorite of Aria’s too. Especially since her birthday will be sometime around Halloween. And I foresee myself throwing a lot of costume birthday parties! So fun! I have my Christmas décor collection piling up and now I have more reason to pile on up some fun fall décor throughout the years!

This year I have made my own wreath for the very first time and I also found the cutest and largest plastic jack-o-lanterns to put my mums in!!!

To make your own gorgeous fall wreath you will only need these few items:

1 grapevine wreath form

A few faux flowers of your choice (from the Dollar Tree!!!)

Hot glue gun

Hot glue sticks

A small piece of wire for hanging (optional)

The Dollar Tree typically keeps their faux lower section stocked with flowers that go with the season which is awesome because I found some great choices for my fall wreath. And you only really need one bunch of each kind of flower that you want to use! The Mini Daisies and Maple Leaves are a MUST! The tops of the flowers pop right off of the stems. Easy day! I also added some long pieces of grass and another flower that I found in Hobby Lobby for some more dimension!

Grapevine wreath forms are everywhere and the prices will vary. I have had mine for a while (procrastinating about making a wreath) but Michael’s has 18″ Grapevine Wreaths for only 4.99! You can also check out others at Hobby Lobby and Walmart!

The rest is totally up to you! Get creative!!! Add some cute little pumpkins, some sparkly acorns, a big bronze bow, a letter for your last name, the possibilities are endless. You can also attach some wire to the back for a good hang spot when you’re finished! No glue necessary, just interweave/wrap it in there in the most secure way that you can 🙂

Last but not least: the jack-o-lantern mum planters! Mums go for about $5 at Walmart and Home Depot. I got mine from Home Depot because they had so many color options and they were HUGE! I couldn’t help but buy a third to put in a pot in our backyard. Don’t forget to pick up some potting soil 😀 The jack-o-lanterns I found in Target for only $6!!! I had Michael Drill a couple of holes in the bottom so that water can run through. They are super sturdy and I have never seen any so big in my entire life. So perfect!

Have fun decorating this season and God Bless!!!

  4. Cute! I also went dollar store crazy but I’m not crafty, I found succulents prepotted and little glazed pumpkins that seemed just too cute to pass up. I may have a shopping problem… At least it’s at the Dollar Tree, right?!
